On Thursday this week, cakes and bakes were the order of the day in school as we celebrated two special occasions.
Firstly, to celebrate European Day of Languages, the MFL department hosted their annual baking competition. With many fantastic entries all impeccably themed to suit the occasion, the judges had a hard task on their hands to rank the tasty treats!
Alongside this competition, we were delighted to support Macmillan by hosting a Macmillan Coffee Morning in the staff room. Taking place on Thursday and Friday, many staff members put on their aprons and baked a whole host of delicious goodies to be enjoyed for a donation, with proceeds going to support the wonderful cause.
It has been great to celebrate and support two worthy causes in such a creative (and tasty!) way, and we look forward to our next in-house competition and fundraiser.
