‘Cricket for Girls’ comes to Northampton High School

We are delighted to welcome Ireland international Cricket star and Cricket for Girls coach Ciara Metcalfe to Northampton High School

We are delighted to announce our participation in the sports programme Cricket for Girls. Cricket for Girls was formed in 2017 by England International Cricketer Lydia Greenway, as a way to deliver high quality Cricket coaching to females of all ages and abilities. All of the coaches have vast experience in the game, and that can certainly be said for the coach we welcome to Northampton High School, Ciara Metcalfe.

Ciara Metcalfe is a vastly experienced Ireland international Cricketer, who will be joining us for the next 2 months to train our girls. Ciara is a leg spin bowler, who has played over 50 times for Ireland in all formats of the game, including in the 2000 ODI and 2016 Twenty20 World Cups. We are delighted to welcome someone with Ciara’s amazing pedigree to the School, and we are sure the girls will find her coaching to be an invaluable experience, as many of them begin their journeys into the world of Cricket.
