Fun at the FoNHS Spring Fayre

After months of planning, the sun was shining, the stalls looked fantastic and we opened the doors to our annual Spring Fayre. We had lots of the usual favourites including badge making, face painting and for the more challenging visitor Hoopla, the Ladder Game and of course Splat The Rat!

As always, the Jam Jar Tombola was a huge hit! Within minutes of opening, the stall was full with eager girls checking out all the fantastically decorated jars on offer. This year we also introduced FotoGenie, like a big selfie machine, which was a huge success. The girls and parents loved the choice of accessories and really got into the spirit of it.

External stallholders did not disappoint. From fun games and toys from Loads of Fun, beautiful jewellery from Stella & Dot, Mama Reyna’s tasty Mexican street food to gorgeous cupcakes from The Little Piping Bag run by our very own Ms Page!

The Junior School Choir sang for the waiting crowds and received a rapturous applause – well done girls!

We couldn’t have put on the event without the support of the many volunteers, teachers, senior girls and our families who gave up their Saturday afternoon to help. Special thanks goes to the school caretaking team for helping with setup of halls and tables and responding to our every whim and request.

If you joined us on Saturday, we’d love to hear your thoughts on the day. Your feedback matters, good or bad, and will help us in shaping future events.

Your FoNHS Committee is only small; six mums all fitting in the planning and organising of such great events in between busy lives and work. We continue to ask for more people to join us; please get in contact if you can help support us in any way.
