Beyond the sixth form

Almost all our girls go on to university and each receives individual assistance with the complexities of choosing a course and completing UCAS forms. There is a well stocked library which contains the latest prospectuses and course information available digitally and as hard copy. Sixth Form tutors are on hand to help you with every stage of the application process. We run special programmes for those girls wishing to apply for Oxford and Cambridge Universities and for Medicine, Veterinary Science and Law.

The Careers Department is well resourced and continually updated and the programme of events includes Careers conferences and workshops, a Higher Education evening and sessions on UCAS, personal statements and making choices.

If you would like to keep in touch with what is happening at the School, receive the Annual Newsletter in November and find out news of friends you may have lost touch with then you can become a member of the Old Girls and Associates of NHS. Since we joined the Girls' Day School Trust, on leaving the school all pupils are automatically part of the OGA and the GDST Alumnae Network. If you are a former pupil from before this time and would like to be a member of the OGA, then please go to the OGA page on our website here

As part of the GDST all Sixth Formers become life-long members of the GDST Alumnae Network. The Network is a community of over  50, 000 former students of the GDST, and a powerful resource for networking, careers and university assistance. For more information, please follow this link to the GDST Alumnae Network website.

If you would like to read a copy of Verve, the magazine of the GDST Aliumnae Network you can find a copy on the GDST Alumnae Network website here.
